Okay, hit me up with your suggestions. I know we got some smart people on here. I'm not creative; never been a strong point of mine. Gracias! More udates: I cooked some spaghetti for the first time. I know you guys are like WTF you been doin for 24 years... well, the answer is eatin my mama's food! Goin to Charlotte tomorrow for a baby shower, bowling with sorors for the March of Dimes, and looking for some apts. My cousin said that I could stay with her (she has a house) until I find what I want. I might take her up on that offer. Yesterday, my manager announced he was quitting and then that evening the assistant manager announced that she was leaving. Geez; they run people off with a quickness! Glad I'm leaving because the turnover rate is BANANAS! I need to figure out what I want a MSN in quick because this is for the birds! | Congratulations to Lovie Smith (The Bears) and Tony Dungy (The Colts) for being the first 2 black coaches to make it to the Super Bowl in history! Black History Month is starting off good already! In other news... After much soul searching, I applied to hospitals in Charlotte and got a job. I'll be starting in March. It's hard leaving mom, but she'll be okay. I keep reminding mom that I'm only an hour away; just pretend I'm back in college. When I told my Auntie (the 83 year old), she got teary eyed. *Sidenote* Please pray for me concerning her health; she's getting tired, older, and weary. I know she won't be here much longer, and I just need strength in dealing with it. I cooked my first full meal tonight; baked pork chops, fried/stewed apples, and broccoli. It was pretty tasty if I say so myself (so did mom). Next task... finding a nice, safe, affordable apartment. Apartments are too expensive in Charlotte. I'm only going to rent a year or so, then buy a house (if I decide to stay in Charlotte). American Idol is TOO FUNNY! I love the contestants who suck. Day 2 in Seattle, Washington was just TOO funny! Simon was just calling people swamp creatures and everything. I hope some good people make it so I stay interested. If not, I'll stop recording it for the season. Well, I'll be back later. | Happy Founders' Day to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. 87 Years ago five phenomenal women started the lovely organization I've grown to hold close to my heart. Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love, and Finer Womanhood are the principles that my sorors and I uphold and live by each day. May all of my sorors, and I, continue to make my founders proud and push Zeta to its' next level with everything that we do. As Tati always says, Pretty girlz only need 5 pearlz! Ee-ii-kee! Z-Phi is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo sweet!
